Arsenal could spend over £100million in the January window, says a football finance expert. Mikel Arteta's side are performing well in the Premier League after spending a lot in the summer.
The Gunners fired on all cylinders in the last transfer window, signing six new recruits for a grand total of around £250m. The main new additions were new striker Viktor Gyokeres and attacking midfielder Eberechi Eze.
Owner Stan Kroenke was able to authorise these moves following several profitable years. Since 2021, his net worth has risen from £6.4billion to an impressive £17.7bn, marking a 175 per cent increase.
Despite their expensive summer transfer window, Arsenal remain in a position where they could choose to spend heavily again this January, according to football finance expert Kieran Maguire.
"We haven't seen their financial results for this year yet, but they will have a lot of headroom from a PSR point of view," Maguire told the Mirror.
