Arsenal are reportedly in a ‘strong position’ to sign Barcelona midfielder Marc Casado, as per Spanish outlet Fichajes.

The Gunners have started the new campaign like a team on a mission to finally win major silverware at the end of this season. They came close to winning the Premier League title in the last three consecutive campaigns, but they were pipped by Manchester City twice before losing out to Liverpool last term.

The North London club have accumulated 25 points from 10 Premier League games thus far, sitting six points ahead of second-placed Man City. On the other hand, they have won all four matches in the Champions League.

They have won the last 10 games across all competitions, keeping clean sheets in nine of those victories. They have conceded only three goals in the league and haven’t been breached in Europe’s elite club competition yet.

Amid this situation, Arsenal will face off against Sunderland in the Premier League today, and this is their last game before the November international break.
