Rod Stewart has expressed his joy at the level of drama produced by Rangers and their carousel of managers in recent years.

Danny Rohl has taken over this term after Russell Martin was sacked from a nightmare Rangers tenure, to make it the fifth consecutive season where the man in the dug-out at Ibrox has been changed.

Celtic also have their own managerial drama this season after Brendan Rodgers’ resignation illuminated the regular chaos at Rangers, and famous Hoops fan Stewart wouldn’t have it any other way.

Celtic beat Rangers 3-1 in the Premier Sports Cup last weekend in the first Old Firm under Rohl in a controversial game where officiating decisions once again took centre stage, and Stewart saw enough at Hampden Park to believe the Light Blues finally have the right man in charge now.
