Noah Okafor left AC Milan and completed a permanent move to Leeds United on August 21st.

The winger has scored two goals from seven league matches so far. He wasn’t called up to the Switzerland squad in September and October, which is unusual considering he’s a Premier League player.

Switzerland manager Murat Yakin has again left the Leeds United player out for the World Cup qualifiers against Sweden and Kosovo in November. He announced his squad on Wednesday and then spoke to Watson.

Okafor last made an appearance for his country in November 2024. However, at the time there were reportedly concerns about his attitude around the squad.

Last month, Blick said he was moody, poor in training and his behaviour was questionable at Euro 2024. 20 Minuten reported Okafor had a misunderstanding with Yakin in the same tournament.

Yakin has now inevitably been asked about Okafor’s absence.

He said the attacker is an “interesting profile” but there are currently better options. Yakin also said the Leeds United summer signing is “on our radar”.
