Gary Neville has backed Sunderland to frustrate Premier League leaders Arsenal this weekend and even spoil their bid for a new club record.

Mikel Arteta’s side will bid to extend their lead at the top of the table to nine points on Saturday evening when they travel to the Stadium of Light to face in-form Sunderland.

Arsenal have won ten games in a row in all competitions and conceded just three games all season.

The Gunners claimed their eighth successive clean sheet with a 3-0 win over Champions League rivals Slavia Prague in midweek and another against Sunderland would break a club record set back in 1903.

Neville expects Arsenal to fall narrowly short of that record, however, and even believes the league leaders will be held to a draw against impressive Sunderland.
