The Women’s Super League (WSL) has found a new date for Aston Villa vs Liverpool, after the clash was postponed in September due to the tragic death of Matt Beard.

Liverpool were originally due to travel to Villa Park on Matchday 3 of the 2025-26 WSL season.

However, the match was postponed after Beard passed away at the age of 47.

When will Aston Villa vs Liverpool take place?

It has been confirmed that Aston Villa will face Liverpool in the WSL on Thursday, December 11th.

The mid-week game will kick off at 7pm at Villa Park and will take place days before both sides face huge games at the weekend.

Liverpool travel to West Ham three days later, with both sides making among the worst starts to a WSL season after each failing to win a single point so far.

Aston Villa, meanwhile, face a tough trip to Manchester City, who have won their last six games on the bounce.

That will then be the last WSL action until 2026, when the league resumes on January 11th.
