Newcastle are set to welcome Athletic Club to St James' Park on Wednesday night as the Champions League returns.

The Magpies are fighting to stay in the top eight of the table after two impressive wins over Benfica and Union Saint-Gilloise. Athletic Club secured their first win in the Champions League in October with a 3-1 victory over Qarabag.

Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund have beaten the Spanish side so far and Eddie Howe's side will be hoping to add three points to their tally with a home win. Both teams are coming into this game with something to prove, with Newcastle losing 3-1 to West Ham and Athletic Club being beaten 3-2 by Real Sociedad at the weekend.
