Norwich City boss Liam Manning said that he is feeling the same hurt as the fans following a number of protests surrounding the state of the club.

Manning's side have failed to pick up a single point at home so far this season and find themselves on a six-game losing run in the Championship and one place of the bottom of the table.

"I think it's one of those, we have to understand the world we live in, and rightly so, people can protest. I totally understand why people are, I feel the same hurt, the emotion, the frustration, but I think there's a real fine line," he told BBC Radio Norfolk.

"I was informed that players' families were threatened and that is where it becomes unacceptable. By all means express your opinions, put your emotions out there, but then it becomes personal, it becomes potentially violent, it becomes threatening."

The Canaries visit Sheffield Wednesday on Wednesday night (19:45 GMT) with the bottom-placed Owls, currently on -5 points, looking to recover following administration.
