Guglielmo Vicario has admitted that the Tottenham players could do with the fans getting behind the team when they are trying to chase the game.

Thomas Frank expressed a desire to make the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium a fortress earlier this season, but it is proving the exact opposite at the moment.

Tottenham’s home form has been relegation-worthy this season, in stark contrast to their away record, which has been almost spotless.

Some pundits have suggested that the Spurs players are struggling to cope with the pressure of their demanding fans when they play at home.

There was loud jeering not just after the final whistle against Chelsea, but also during the game as Tottenham Hotspur were trying to come back from a goal down.

Vicario has admitted that it would help the team if the supporters are behind them during tough situations, but conceded that the fans have the right to express their feelings.
