Erik ten Hag is willing to talk to Wolverhampton Wanderers about their vacant manager’s position.

That’s according to ESPN in the Netherlands, who say Wolves are considering the former Manchester United manager.

They report that Ten Hag is ‘open to discussing’ a potential collaboration with Wolves. However, he does have reservations about accepting the job if it is only for a season.

Wolves are on the hunt for a new manager after sacking Vitor Pereira after the loss to Fulham. Ten Hag was quickly named as one of the options being considered.

In fact, a report today stated that contact had been made on Monday with the Dutchman. He is out of work after being sacked by Bayer Leverkusen two months ago.

ESPN say Ten hag is ‘eager to return’ to English football. He knows, though, that his time at Manchester United has affected his reputation. He understands that opportunities in England ‘don’t arise every week’. Thus, he is willing to talk to Wolves about taking charge.
