Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk has called for a repeat of last season's impressive victory over Real Madrid on Tuesday night - on and off the pitch.
The Reds ran out 2-0 winners over the Spanish giants last November thanks to second half strikes from Alexis Mac Allister and Cody Gakpo at Anfield, and 12 months on Real are back in L4 for another Champions League clash.
Van Dijk feels that win last season was one of Liverpool's best displays of the campaign, and he is hoping that the Reds can turn in a similar display this time around.
"Games don't come much bigger than Real Madrid at Anfield in the Champions League," said Van Dijk as he addressed Reds supporters in his programme notes for the clash.
"It goes without saying that we are all really looking forward to the challenge, and I am sure you guys are as well. These are the nights you live for as a player."
