Tottenham Hotspur’s terrible home form continued on Saturday as they lost 1-0 to Chelsea in the London derby in the Premier League. They barely had a sniff of goal and were beaten by Joao Pedro’s first-half strike.

After the defeat to Chelsea, Thomas Frank- just as he does after every home game- encouraged the players to acknowledge the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium faithful. The Spurs fans should their displeasure by booing their players off the pitch after watching them lose another home game.

Poor home form is a continuation of a trend that started under Ange Postecoglou last season. Since the Lilywhites’ opening weekend 3-0 victory over newly-promoted Burnley, they have played four, lost three and drawn one at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League. That one draw came via Joao Palhinha’s stoppage-time strike against now manager-less Wolverhampton Wanderers.

This is a worrying statistic for a team that is aiming to close the gap on its rivals and fight for the major honours. Thomas Frank admitted last month that he wants to focus on improving the home form in the Premier League.
