Tottenham’s forward Brennan Johnson completed 100 appearances for the club when he came on in the 73rd minute in Spurs’ 1-0 defeat to Chelsea last weekend.

Spurs signed Johnson from Nottingham Forest on deadline day of the 2023 summer transfer window for £47.5 million, and he instantly became a fan favorite.. He was a crucial player for the Lilywhites last season, scoring 18 goals and providing 7 assists in 51 appearances. He partnered exceptionally well with club legend Son Heung-min to lead the attack. He finished the season as Spurs’ top scorer in the Premier League with 11 goals. This season, he has scored 3 goals in 15 appearances.

Johnson’s most significant contribution to Spurs came in the Europa League final last season, when he scored a crucial 42nd-minute goal against Manchester United to secure the victory and help his team lift their first trophy in 17 years.

Spurs have been struck by an injury crisis this season, with key players like James Maddison, Dominic Solanke, and Dejan Kulusevski sidelined. With Richarlison and Randal Kolo Muani struggling for form, Tottenham are reportedly looking to bring in reinforcements during the January transfer window as they search for a new No. 9.
