Retired Manchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves praised his former club despite their inability to clinch the win in a nerve-racking 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest, directing some compliments at one player in particular.

Having come off a three-game winning streak, expectations were sky-high for Man United, who were paying a visit to a struggling Forest side that started the day in the relegation zone on the Premier League table.

Unfortunately for Ruben Amorim’s team, it was a more difficult afternoon than expected, with Forest putting ample pressure on United throughout the encounter to seal a well-earned draw.

Despite the disappointing result, Hargreaves was able to draw some positive conclusions from the match.

United’s excellent team chemistry

For Hargreaves, Amad’s spectacular late goal was a testament to United’s team chemistry.

“There’s a point where Bruno says to Amad, ‘You’re a little out of position.’ What have you got to do? You’ve got to listen to your boss,” Hargreaves remarked, referring to Bruno Fernandes’ leadership.
