Nick Woltemade has been praised by Eddie Howe for his work-ethic at Newcastle United - as well as how quickly he has forged relationships with his teammates.

The Germany centre-forward wasted no time whatsoever in making his mark at St James' Park, after his £69million move from VfB Stuttgart this summer, finding the back of the net on his debut with the Magpies to clinch a 1-0 win over Wolves back in September.

Fast forward a month and a half, and Woltemade has six goals to his name under Howe across all competitions, and has certainly filled the void Alexander Isak left after his dramatic deadline day move to Liverpool - where he has been unable to impress so far.

Pleased as punch with the 23-year-old, Howe has showered Woltemade in praise as of recent, though he's certain that there's more of the same to come. Speaking to Sky Sports, the manager said: "There was no time to wait.
