Wesley Fofana has been branded a 'complete idiot' by fans after shocking footage emerged of him speeding in his Lamborghini on the hard shoulder.

The Chelsea defender, 24, who was already serving a two-year disqualification from the roads, pleaded guilty to his ninth driving offence at Staines Magistrates' Court on Friday.

He admitted driving dangerously along the A3 Esher Bypass in Hook, Surrey, on April 20, and now must complete 300 hours of unpaid community service.

Astonishing footage recorded by a motorist on their dashcam, which was reported to police, shows the footballer thundering down the dual carriageway in the £200,000 Super SUV.

The £75million man can be seen whizzing beyond a black vehicle before rapidly approaching another, slamming the brakes on, and veering round the driver before going back through the gaps that had opened up.

The video has since outraged furious fans who have taken to social media to label Fofana the Premier League's 'worst driver' and called for stricter disciplinary measures.
