Spurs fans will not be surprised by what Opta’s Supercomputer has predicted ahead of Tottenham’s London derby against Chelsea on Sunday.

The Carabao Cup elimination against Newcastle is seen by some Spurs fans as a blessing in disguise, considering the current injury absentees and the busy schedule.

Tottenham have double-digit injury absentees at the moment, which is a feeling that the club’s supporters have become accustomed to over the last couple of years.

The Lilywhites now turn their attention back to the Premier League, with Chelsea looking to draw level on points with Thomas Frank’s men with a win at N17 on Saturday.

Opta’s prediction algorithm has given some surprising numbers ahead of Saturday’s London derby.

Even though the game will be played at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and Chelsea come into the clash sitting in 9th place in the Premier League table, the Blues have been deemed the favourites for the clash.

Opta have given Enzo Maresca’s side a 40.4 per cent chance of winning the game while the home side have been handed just 33.9 per cent chance of emerging with three points.

Tottenham have the best away record across the Premier League this season, but they are yet to click at home.
