It doesn't take a genius to work out Nick Woltemade is loving life at Newcastle. The £69million club record signing has hit the ground running since his summer move from Stuttgart and already has six goals in 11 appearances.

He is popular on the terraces and he is popular in the dressing room, too, something head coach Eddie Howe has routinely pointed out since his arrival in August.

Fellow German speaker Fabian Schar has been a big help with helping Woltemade settle down but the 23-year-old's excellent command of English has helped him make friendships elsewhere in the team, too.

Sky Sports discounted Premier League and EFL package

Sky has slashed the price of its Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle for the 2025/26 season, saving members £336 and offering more than 1,400 live matches across the Premier League, EFL and more.

Sky will show at least 215 live Premier League games this season, an increase of up to 100 more.
