Tottenham may have started the season on a positive note under Thomas Frank, but there are still a few issues that need to be rectified if they are to compete on all fronts. The Lilywhites are currently lacking that elusive “X factor” in the final third, with only Mohammed Kudus showing consistent intent to be a constant attacking threat for the North London side.

The priority for Spurs should therefore be to bring in a new attacker who can partner Kudus up front and help Thomas Frank’s men play more on the front foot. Summer signing Xavi Simons has yet to step up and prove his worth at N17. It is crucial that the Lilywhites sign a player who can push the Dutchman to perform at a higher level while also providing reliable cover in the attacking areas.
