Middlesbrough have made two deadline-day signings by bringing in Aston Villa winger Samuel Iling-Junior, followed by Kelechi Iheanacho.

Former Manchester City and Leicester City striker Iheanacho, 28, has signed from La Liga side Sevilla until the end of the season, as has England Under-21 international Iling-Junior.

Iheanacho will be looking to add to his career tally of 85 goals, the majority of which came across seven seasons at Leicester, before heading for southern Spain last summer.

He has scored just three times in 11 appearances this season - all of them in the Copa Del Rey - and has made only five league starts.

Iling-Junior, 21, was in Chelsea's academy before moving to Juventus in 2020, then on to Villa last summer, since when he has spent the first half of the season on loan in Italy with Serie A side Bologna.

He scored twice in 16 appearances in all competitions for Bologna, including a winning goal against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League in December.
