Former Chelsea star Thiago Silva's son has earned a call up to England's Under-15s squad.

Iago, who's won multiple tournaments in the Blues' academy, has been included in a Three Lions squad for a training camp this week. 

Despite his father earning 113 caps for the Brazilian national team, Iago is eligible to play for England through residency. The youngster has lived in west London since Thiago joined Chelsea from Paris-Saint Germain in 2020. 

And it seems Iago has stayed in London since Thiago departed for Fluminese in the summer of 2024. 

Taking to Instagram after receiving news of his call up, Iago wrote: 'Proud moment to be invited to my first England camp. The hard work continues.' 

The youngster's decision to play for England at youth level does not however end his chances of later switching his allegiances to the Brazilian national team.
