Bayern Munich director Max Eberl has refused to confirm claims of meeting Crystal Palace star Marc Guéhi’s agent.

DAZN had a chat with Eberl about the centre-back and Sky Deutschland have relayed his comments.

The defender is in his final year of contract and Oliver Glasner has already confirmed he’ll leave Crystal Palace as a free agent.

Guéhi came close to joining Liverpool last summer before the move collapsed. The Reds are still said to be keen but aren’t the only club.

Last week, Sky Deutschland reported Eberl is a big fan of the Crystal Palace player and had a secret meeting with his agent. They also stated the Bundesliga winners have stepped up their efforts to try and secure his services.

DAZN got in touch with the Bavarian club’s official to ask him about Sky’s report on the Crystal Palace man. When responding to that, he said Bayern Munich have to prepared to sign a new centre-back especially because of Dayot Upamecano.

The 27-year-old Frenchman also has a contract until 2026 and Vincent Kompany’s side are keen to extending it.
