Bruno Guimaraes has lifted the lid on his aeroplane horror after his long-haul flight to the Far East was forced into an emergency landing earlier this month.

The Brazil international was jetting to Tokyo for his country’s clash with Japan when the faulty aircraft turned back to Amsterdam.

The Newcastle captain said: “Two windows broke in the middle of the flight.

“We were in the middle of the air and could not stop, so we had to fly back.

“I’ve never seen this before.

“I was sleeping. I just woke up and said, ‘Two hours to come back to Amsterdam?’

“I didn't understand anything. But after they explained to me that it was moving a lot during the flight.

“I was not scared at first

“After, when I realised, I was a little bit. But during the flight, I was okay.

“Joelinton was awake and when I woke up, he said: ‘We are going back’. I couldn't believe it. I said, ‘Are you serious?’”

After waiting for a connecting flight, the journey ended...
