Tottenham Hotspur are once again in the hunt for a new midfielder, and a familiar name is back on their radar despite Spurs having missed out on him last summer.

Tottenham Hotspur were in the mix for Ardon Jashari last summer, when they were looking to secure the signing of a holding midfielder.

The 23-year-old was on their shortlist alongside several other names, but competition for his signature was intense.

AC Milan were reported to have submitted several bids for the then Club Brugge man, while Arsenal and Manchester City were also keeping close tabs on him.

In the end, it was AC Milan who won the race, with their persistence finally paying off as Jashari put pen to paper on a five-year deal.

Jashari’s start to life at AC Milan, however, has not gone according to plan, and that has now sparked fresh transfer speculation surrounding his future.

According to MilanLive, after a slow start to life in Italy, Tottenham are now believed to be considering reigniting their interest in the midfielder.

Spurs are not alone in monitoring the 23-year-old, with Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa also showing an interest in his situation.
