Tottenham Hotspur began the season brightly but have gone off the boil of late. Just one win has come from their last five matches across all competitions- a 2-1 success at Leeds United before the October international break. Spurs were lucky to come home with a point from AS Monaco in the Champions League, all thanks to Guglielmo Vicario.

Last weekend’s 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa and the goalless draw at AS Monaco has once highlighted Tottenham’s problems in attack. Thomas Frank has several key attackers in the form of Dejan Kulusevski, James Maddison and Dominic Solanke sidelined, while the iconic Son Heung-min departed the club after 10 years in the summer.

Owing to Solanke’s persistent ankle issues, Richarlison started the new campaign as Thomas Frank’s first-choice No.9. He began the season well with a brace against Burnley on the opening weekend. However, the Brazilian international’s performance levels have dipped in recent weeks. He was anonymous in the 0-0 draw with AS Monaco, having struggled to impose himself in the game before being substituted in the second half.
