Mohamed Salah has sparked speculation after he removed all mentions of Liverpool from his X account following the Reds' 5-1 triumph over Eintracht Frankfurt. The Egyptian ace was left on the bench by Arne Slot for the second consecutive Champions League match, having also been omitted from the Dutchman's starting line-up for last month's journey to Galatasaray.

Liverpool adopted a 4-4-2 formation without Salah, with Alexander Isak and Hugo Ekitike leading the attack together for the first time. Federico Chiesa was then brought on ahead of Salah when Isak had to be substituted due to a groin injury at half-time.

The Egyptian star was finally introduced in the 74th minute, replacing Ekitike, just moments after the Reds netted their fifth and final goal.
