Bristol City boss Charlotte Healy has set up a fundraiser after the death of Jonathan Humble

A crowdfunder has been set up after the shock death of Liverpool and former Manchester United kitman Jonathan Humble.

Liverpool confirmed on Wednesday night that Humble, who had three children with his wife Claire, had died at the age of 44 after a sudden illness.

A statement on Liverpool’s website confirmed that Humble was taken ill at home on Sunday evening and passed away at Leighton Hospital in Crewe a few days later.

Clubs across England have sent messages of support following the tragic news.

Humble had only taken on the women’s first team kit manager role at Liverpool in August after leaving Manchester United.

He had worked as part of Manchester United’s kit staff for the previous six years.

Humble’s death comes after the shock passing of former Liverpool women’s manager Matt Beard last month. Liverpool were also rocked by the death of Diogo Jota and his brother Andre, following a car crash back in July.
