Newport County are in discussions over fresh investment as they acknowledged supporter concerns over their league position.
The Exiles are bottom of League Two, with fans venting their frustration following last weekend's home defeat by fellow strugglers Cheltenham Town.
Former Newport defender Jason Perry is among ex-players and pundits who have criticised the club.
Fans have also directed anger at players and chairman Huw Jenkins with Dave Hughes' side winning just two of 13 league games so far this season.
In a statement, external from majority owner Jenkins as well as Andrew Bartlett and Mike Everett – the Supporters Trust representatives on the board – the directors accepted fans' dissatisfaction.
"We want to acknowledge the level of concern, frustration and dissatisfaction that many of you have openly expressed in relation to the results," it read.
