The Tottenham Hotspur team that will face Aston Villa in the Premier League this afternoon has been announced.

The North Londoners headed into the international break on a high following Tottenham’s 2-1 win against Leeds United, which was their first win before an international fixture in almost two years.

Tottenham have only lost five of their 19 post-international break fixtures which is an encouraging sign for Thomas Frank’s side.

After failing to win any of their opening five league games this season, Villa are a side in form, having won their last four fixtures in all competitions.

Dominic Solanke has not yet returned to full first-team training after ankle surgery and remains unavailable.

Tottenham head into today’s match currently fifth in the Premier League table, where victory over Villa would take them back up to second place ahead of Liverpool’s clash against Manchester United.
