West Ham have reportedly reignited their search for January defensive reinforcements, which could see the club spend all the money generated from the sale of Nayef Aguerd.
The Hammers are said to be ready to join a four-way battle for Toulouse defender Charlie Cresswell, with Liverpool, Crystal Palace, Leeds United and Everton also interested. And according to Claret & Hugh’s top transfer source, Cresswell is a player of genuine interest but David Moyes is also keen.

The 23-year-old centre-back, who has impressed in Ligue 1 since leaving Elland Road, is believed to be available for around £15 million when the transfer window opens in January — precisely the same amount the Hammers received from Aguerd’s sale to Marseille in the summer.

Cresswell’s strong aerial presence and composure on the ball have attracted interest from several Premier League clubs, with West Ham boss Nuno Espirito Santo recently admitting his main focus is on fixing the Hammers’ defence.
