Leon Osman has slammed Chelsea star Malo Gusto for ‘the stupidest tackle in the world’ in the 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

Gusto was on a yellow when he chopped down Neco Williams in the 87th minute, which saw the 22-year-old defender sent off at the City Ground.

Chelsea have now been reduced to 10 men in four of their last six games across all competitions, with red cards becoming a serious problem.

Reacting to Gusto’s dismissal on BBC Radio 5 Live, former Everton and England midfielder Osman, who works as a football pundit, said: ‘The manager will be incensed by that red card.

‘It’s one of those moments where you are on top in the game, things are going well, you are feeling great, all the chances and tackles are going your way.
