Manchester United may have given away a clue about their starting line-up for their clash against bitter rivals Liverpool.

Sky Sports cameras were welcomed into Carrington on Thursday, where Ruben Amorim had allowed extra time off for those players who had been on international duty or trained throughout the break. Bruno Fernandes, Casemiro, Matheus Cunha and Amad were among those missing from full training, although club insiders confirmed some of the absentees were doing recovery work.

Casemiro was not present at training due to playing full matches in Brazil's away friendlies against South Korea and Japan during the break. Brazil boss Carlo Ancelotti won't be getting a Christmas card from Amorim this year. Casemiro would have been a sure-fire starter against Liverpool.

But his heavy schedule during the break casts doubt over his readiness to start, reports the Manchester Evening News. It seems unlikely Amorim will field the 33-year-old against Liverpool, considering he's travelled halfway across the globe to Asia and played full matches in both friendlies.
