We may be in the midst of a transfer window hiatus, but speculation surrounding the future of current players and potential new recruits never ceases at Chelsea. In an unusual turn of events, the Blues managed to recoup as much as they spent during the last window.

However, following a steady yet unremarkable start to the season that saw them sitting seventh ahead of the international break, Chelsea could be active when the January transfer window swings open. On the pitch, Chelsea will be aiming to pile on the pressure for former Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou when they resume action at Nottingham Forest on Saturday lunchtime. Postecoglou has had a disastrous start to his tenure at Forest and could be sacked if Chelsea triumph at the City Ground.

Filip Jorgensen has been largely overlooked this season, making just two appearances. His first was as a substitute after Robert Sanchez was shown the red card early on at Manchester United, while his only start was in the Carabao Cup win at Lincoln, where he appeared notably unsteady.
