Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has been slapped with a one-match touchline suspension following his charge down the sidelines against Liverpool.

Arne Slot's side suffered their third consecutive defeat in all competitions after the Blues secured a 2-1 victory at Stamford Bridge. It looked like the Reds were going to secure a point when Cody Gakpo prodded in Alexander Isak's clever touch, cancelling out a first-half opener from Chelsea star Moises Caicedo.

Unfortunately for Slot, in similar circumstances to the 2-1 away loss to Crystal Palace, young Blues star Estevao Willian slid in at the back post and bundled in a 96th-minute winner. Maresca charged down the touchline as the Blues players and fans erupted into pandemonium.

However, the former Leicester City boss had already received a yellow card from the official for dissent, and his Jose Mourinho-style dash down the sideline resulted in a second caution and subsequent dismissal. Maresca's behaviour has now resulted in disciplinary action from the FA.
