Bradford City's 5-1 win over Everton Under-21s was the standout result of Tuesday's three matches in the Vertu Trophy.

The League One side put on a fine showing with Calum Kavanagh, George Lapslie, and a Stephen Humphrys double essentially wrapping up the match before half-time.

Defender Joe Wright put one into his own net to give the Toffees a glimmer of hope, before Alex Pattison made it 5-1 late on.

Everton, for whom Dwight McNeil and Nathan Patterson started, cannot qualify after starting with two defeats.
