Arsenal’s South American head scout, Jonathan Vidallé, has sparked fresh excitement among supporters after speaking about his ambition to discover another Chilean talent like Alexis Sánchez.

The former Argentine footballer, who previously played in Chile, revealed during an interview with ADN Deportes that he is determined to identify the next big name from the region.

Vidallé explained that his role covers several South American countries, including Chile, and that he hopes to find players capable of shining at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal enjoyed great success with Sánchez, who joined from Barcelona in 2014. During his time at the club, the forward became one of the most influential players of the Emirates era.

His energy, work rate, and skill made him a fan favourite, while his 80 goals in three and a half seasons helped Arsenal secure two FA Cup titles.

Vidallé praised Sánchez’s impact but admitted that finding players of that quality is now more difficult.
