Tony Bloom has revealed what winning at Chelsea meant to him.

Albion came from behind to beat the Blues 3-1 at Stamford Bridge recently.

Fans relished the success against a club who have plundered – at a price – some of their best talent on and off the pitch from the Seagulls.

Bloom, the lifelong Albion fan who became club owner and chairman, was asked by The Argus what the result had meant to him.

He said: “The Premier League is so competitive so winning any game gives me a big thrill

“We know how tough the Premier League is.

“So winning away at Chelsea, the fact that they are such a good team and their players are so expensively assembled, obviously gives me big satisfaction.

“But, again, winning anywhere. So, if we had won at Wolves, I would also be massively happy and obviously not winning means I am not so happy.

“That's just the emotions of games and all of our fans are going through those emotions week in, week out.”
