Chelsea spent £296.5 million during the summer transfer window, but not every signing has hit the ground running.

While Estevao Willian is dazzling fans and Joao Pedro is showing potential, several summer signings have yet to prove what they’re truly capable of at Stamford Bridge.

However, one of Chelsea’s wonderkid signings has given Enzo Maresca a glimpse of what he can do during this international break.

One of Chelsea’s most expensive summer signings was Jamie Gittens, whom the club bought for £48million from Borussia Dortmund.

The 21-year-old winger had shown real potential in Germany, scoring 17 and providing 14 assists in 107 appearances for the Bundesliga side in all competitions.

With Jadon Sancho moving on and Raheem Sterling being put in the ‘bomb squad,’ Chelsea needed to bring in more width.

Unfortunately, Gittens has failed to make the most of his opportunities for Chelsea this season, which has led to increasing frustration among the Chelsea fanbase.
