Liverpool are preparing to welcome their squad back from the international break.

Arne Slot’s side will return to Premier League action this Sunday against Manchester United, and it will be very interesting to see how the group responds following a run of three defeats in a row.

The Reds had some very poor performances in the week that they went on the losing streak, and many have complained about the individual performances of some of the new signings.

One player who has received the most criticism is Florian Wirtz, who joined Liverpool from Bayer Leverkusen for £116 million in the summer transfer window.

The 22-year-old has been touted as one of world football’s brightest stars, but his performances have not seen him shine just yet in a red shirt.

It is not easy for players to adapt to a new league and country so quickly which has been clear for Wirtz, despite showing signs of his quality briefly in games.

However, so far during this season’s second break, he has found himself some success performing very well for his national team, Germany, in their 4-0 thrashing of Luxembourg.
