Reports in Brazil have indicated that Chelsea attacker Estevao has tested positive for flu while away on international duty.

The 18-year-old is due to be assessed on Monday ahead of training as the Selecao gear up for their latest friendly against Japan in Tokyo on Tuesday.

Estevao had been in line to feature after he recently hit the back of the net twice in the 5-0 demolition of South Korea in Seoul.

The teenage starlet is now beginning to consolidate his place in Carlo Ancelotti's squad after displaying electrifying chemistry with Real Madrid duo Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo in the Far East.

Nonetheless, GE Globo - a Brazilian newspaper - are reporting that Estevao could miss Tuesday's friendly due to illness.

Estevao has reportedly tested positive for flu and may require rest ahead of returning to his parent club Chelsea.
