Liverpool set out to build a young team for the future this summer, and it shows.

The Reds found themselves busy in the transfer window buying the likes of Hugo Ekitike, Milos Kerkez, Alexander Isak, and Jeremie Frimpong to add to their already stacked squad.

All of the signings were under the age of 25, showing their focused investment of £400 million went into future-proofing the Liverpool team.

Arne Slot’s side, despite their three-game losing streak in all competitions, are expected to defend their Premier League title successfully, and their attacking lineup shows exactly that.

It is a forward line that has even caught the eye of former player John Aldridge, with two stars in particular, ones he is excited to see progress at Anfield.

‘Aldo’ himself was known for his incredible striking ability during his tenure on Merseyside, scoring 50 goals in 83 appearances for the Reds.

Recently for his Aldo Meets Podcast, he sat down with ex-Liverpool keeper Bruce Grobbelaar as they discussed the current crop of talent at the disposal of the team.
