Manchester United striker Benjamin Sesko featured for the full 90 minutes as Slovenia were held to a frustrating 0–0 draw against Kosovo in their World Cup qualifier last night.

Despite both sides creating several half-chances, neither could find the cutting edge needed to break the deadlock.

Sesko fired five shots but could only hit the target once, with two of his efforts blocked by the Kosovo defence.

He had a golden opportunity to snatch the winner in the 81st minute from a corner, but his right-footed strike sailed over the bar.

The 22-year-old looked sharp and full of intent, which will come as a positive sign for Manchester United ahead of his return.

However, United fans would have loved to see him extend his scoring streak to three consecutive games, giving him an extra boost of confidence.

Being a target man is often a lonely role, which was evident as Sesko completed only eight passes, including one key pass.

The towering centre-forward was dominant in moments but had a mixed outing in duels, winning only one of five ground battles and his sole aerial contest.
