Tottenham fans will love what captain Cristian Romero has said following the club’s hard-fought win away at Leeds United.

Tottenham Hotspur became the first team to beat Leeds at Elland Road in 12 months, with the Lilywhites delivering a professional performance to come away with all three points.

Thomas Frank delivered another tactical masterclass away from home, with Spurs managing to keep Leeds at arm’s length for large parts of the encounter and looking threatening whenever they countered with pace.

That means that Spurs now go into the international break on the back of a win, a feeling that has become alien to their supporters.

Ahead of the clash against Leeds, Tottenham had won only one of their previous four matches across all competitions: their 3-0 win over Doncaster Rovers in the third round of the Carabao Cup.

Romero admitted that Spurs got a ‘massive’ result away from home and that they needed to get back to winning ways.

The Tottenham captain suggested on social media that there were excellent performances across the pitch by his teammates this afternoon.
