Defender Dion Sanderson says Derby County are ‘taking steps in the right direction’ and will be looking to kick on when they face Charlton Athletic at Pride Park Stadium on Tuesday night (8pm kick-off).

Sanderson has played all seven of the Rams’ Sky Bet Championship matches since joining on loan from Birmingham City and was a stand-out player at the heart of defence in Saturday’s away draw against Wrexham and the previous 1-0 win on the road against West Bromwich Albion.

The 25-year-old’s loan move to Pride Park saw him playing under Head Coach John Eustace for the fourth time in his career.
