Max Aarons’ goal off the bench helped Rangers and Russell Martin to a much-needed 2-1 victory at Livingston on Sunday evening.

Martin has been under immense pressure at Rangers after a disastrous start to the season.

Despite the three points, Rangers were poor for large periods, as individual performances across the board have been consistently below par this season.

The win against Livingston barely lifts the pressure off Martin, as it’s clear that the Rangers fans want the former Premier League coach gone as soon as possible.

Unfortunately for them, Rangers chairman Andrew Cavenagh is far from Ibrox as Martin looks set to remain as head coach for a little while longer after recent talks.

Former Rangers star Derek Ferguson has lifted the lid on what Martin must do to keep his job long-term.

Martin was booed off the pitch by Rangers fans after his side beat Livingston, as the relationship between coach and fans seems unfixable.

However, speaking on Open Goal, Ferguson has a good idea of what Martin can do to fix things.
